There are a multitude of aspects relating to Meagan Parker’s life that began as virtual unknowns. She started her young adult career in the healthcare industry as Vice President of New Business Development, networking and cultivating corporate relationships across the United States, oftentimes not knowing where she was headed one week to the next. 

Hi, my name is Marcy Parlett. I live in Grasonville with my fiancé, Joe Capel along with our 2 dogs and 2 cats. I have 3 grown children, Rachel (34), Daniel (31) and Alexis (24). I am also the proud Mimi of Leah (18), Alicia (12) and Bella (6). I worked for Safeway for over 20 years before retiring in 2016.

I am an Eastern Shore girl, born and raised in Caroline County by my parents. I have worked at MidAtlantic Farm Credit in Denton for 18 years. My world revolves around my 9-year old son, Reed. I enjoy watching him grow and play sports. 

The program culminates with candidates and their guests joining sponsors and other prominent community members at a Grand Finale celebration for the announcement of the Man and Woman of the Year.  The outstanding achievements of all candidates are celebrated at the Grand Finale event, which includes auctions, food, cocktails and music.  Following the campaign, the winners are thanked through local and national publicity.
