In September of 2018, 14-year old Cameron an adventurous, athletic, energetic kid who lived and breathed soccer, developed back pain. He was a player on the 2018 Tennessee State Championship travel team, the Murfreesboro Strikers, as well as his DeKalb County Middle School team and was extremely active, being a cross-country runner, wakeboarder, snowboarder, and a certified scuba diver.
