The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign is fundraising competition among a select group of individuals in the community.  While each candidate conducts their own campaign, all candidates are united by one goal: to use their leadership skills to raise funds to help blood cancer patients live longer and more fulfilling lives.

We are excited to announce that for the first time in the 17 year history of the Man & Woman of the Year campaign in Acadiana, we have FOUR candidates who have raised over $50,000 to earn the right to name a research grant in honor or memory of a loved one.  What is even better?  That TWO of these candidates are from our new Student of the Year element to the campaign.  Kacie Francois, sophomore at Lafayette High School, and Adelaide Jones, a homeschooled junior join Fran Hampton of Hampton Toyota and Mary Hays of Geaux Run in our Hall of Fame.  It was a great year f

Congratulations to Adam Albright and Mary Blankenship Pointer, our 2018 Man & Woman of the Year! Albright and Blankenship Pointer, along with fellow fundraisers Amy Fischer and Ashley Lay, raised more than $137,000 to fund the LLS mission. Rachel Scott, 2018 Girl of the Year, honored the crowd at the 2018 Gala by performing The Lord's Prayer in sign language. Thank you to all of our donors, candidates, and supporters!
